Meet the Editor

Barbara Mitchell is the editor behind RV Life Guide.

Barbara Mitchell sold her house and went full-time in a fifth wheel 12 years ago and has not looked back. She has driven over 180,000 miles across 48 states, camped in every type of site from Walmart parking lots to national park dispersed areas, and figured out the hard way what works and what does not. At RV Life Guide, her writing comes from genuine experience rather than weekend trips.

What We Cover

RV Life Guide covers every aspect of the full-time RV lifestyle, rig selection and buying advice, campground types and costs, route planning, maintenance basics, full-time budgeting, remote work while traveling, and the honest trade-offs of life on the road.

Our Approach

We write from personal experience first and research second. When we cover something we haven’t done ourselves, we say so. We’d rather give you one honest answer than five hedged ones.
